Erté “Firebird” Art Deco style bronze of a winged nude female figure, measuring approx. Measure: 16 inches tall. Limited edition, #104/250, incised artist signature, stamp numbered with foundry and date on the back of the base, circa 1981. Romain de Tirtoff (Roman Petrovich Tyrtov, AKA: ERTE, Russian born French artist, 1892-1990) was perhaps the most famous fashion, film, theater, opera, interior and costume designer of his day, who branched out to produce prints, lithographs, jewelry and sculpture-- all based on his Art Deco designs.
