Antique Victorian silver plated conch shell design Ice Bucket and/or spoon warmer, having a hand-chased body; hinged lid opening, sitting on a rocky base with shell thumb-piece. This fine handmade silver plated spoon warmer measures approx. 5 high x 6.75 in overall length x 3.5 wide. Unmarked; circa 1870. Originally these collectibles were filled with boiling water and left on the table until ready to serve, assisting in keeping food warm in the chilly Victorian homes.
