This painting depicts the icon Le Château Frontenac towering amongst the local dwellings located in Quebec City, Canada. Aslanian is a painter of striking individuality. Born in Alexandria in 1937, Bedros Aslanian began studying at the age of sixteen under Professor Silvio Bicchi and graduated from the Beaux Arts d'Alexandria in 1961. In 1965 Aslanian moved to Montreal. He currently spends time between his residences in Montreal and Greece. His canvases depict people and places, including the narrow streets of the Greek Islands and the vast landscapes of Quebec. His vibrant paintings are characterized by thick brush strokes which give dimension to the colors, creating an emotional impact. His works have been exhibited across Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan and can be found in private collections in Montreal, Athens and Paris.
