Rare and dramatic pair of Napoleon III patinated bronze and gilt bronze six light candelabra portraying the Greek deities, Poseidon and his wife Amphritite rising out of the waves; expertly cast and designed! Bearing the bold neoclassical imagery so eagerly embraced during this period, these candelabra are a study in balance and proportion with intricate extravagant accents of acanthus, flowers and fruit, circa 1860. Excellent condition. Approximate size: 24" high x 10.25". A must have to add to your collection or enhance your home!
