Beautiful pair of Tall signed Barbedienne French 19th century silvered bronze figural 'Aux Griffons' candelabrum, fabulous detailing, both signed on foot: Barbedienne; each measuring approximately. Measures: 24" high, 9" wide and 6" wide at the base, Paris, circa 1840-1860, in excellent vintage condition. A must have to add to your collection or decorate your home, combining traditional design elements with contemporary influences! Barbedienne was one of the most sought-after founders of late 19th century, France, and carried contracts with some of Paris greatest sculptors. Today, pieces hailing from this foundry are extremely sought after by collectors. Ferdinand Barbedienne (10 January, 1810–21 March, 1892), French metalworker and manufacturer, well known as a bronze founder.
